AUTHOR GUIDELINES

1.  Basic Features of IJBSS

■         International Scope: Accepts manuscripts from global contributors, with special focus on Northeast India and the Global South.

■         Multidisciplinary Coverage: Encompasses all disciplines within the Basic Sciences and Social Sciences.

■         Peer Review: Rigorous double-blind review conducted by two or more subject-area experts.

■         Open Access: All published content is freely available online under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC license.

■         Indexing Goals: The journal will be submitted for indexing in UGC-CARE, Google Scholar, DOAJ, Crossref, and other relevant databases.

■         Publication Frequency: Quarterly — March, June, September, and December.

■         Language: English only.

■         Plagiarism Check: All submissions are screened using licensed similarity-detection software. Manuscripts must have a similarity index of less than 10%.

■         DOI Assignment: Each accepted article will be assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI).

2.  Article Types Accepted

The journal accepts the following categories of manuscripts. Word count encompasses the abstract, main text, tables, and references.

3.  Manuscript Preparation

3.1  Format & Typography

■         File Format: MS Word (.doc / .docx), A4 paper size, 1-inch margins on all sides.

■         Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing throughout.

■         Headings: Use a numbered format — e.g., 1. Introduction, 2. Methodology, 3. Results.

3.2  Manuscript Structure

Title Page  (submitted as a separate file):

■         Full manuscript title

■         Author names and institutional affiliations

■         ORCID iDs (where available)

■         Corresponding author's email address

■         Acknowledgements, funding statement, and conflict of interest declaration

 

Main Manuscript  (must contain no author identification):

■         Abstract: 200–250 words; structured format required for original research articles.

■         Keywords: 4–6 keywords listed immediately below the abstract.

■         Main body text with numbered section headings.

■         Tables and figures: numbered, captioned, and placed at appropriate points within the text. Images must be at least 300 dpi.

■         References: APA 7th Edition. Every in-text citation must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.

4.  Ethical Requirements

■         Submitted manuscripts must be original, previously unpublished, and not currently under review with any other journal or publisher.

■         Authors must disclose any conflicts of interest at the time of submission.

■         Research involving human participants or animals must have obtained the requisite ethical clearance from an appropriate institutional review body.

■         Authors retain copyright in their work and grant IJBSS the right of first publication under the Creative Commons CC BY-NC license.

5.  Submission Process

The following files must be attached to your submission email:

■         Main manuscript (no author identification)

■         Title page with complete author details

■         Signed Declaration of Originality (template available on the journal website)

6.  Article Processing Charges (APC)

To cover peer-review management, DOI assignment, website maintenance, and open-access hosting, the following APC applies after manuscript acceptance:

Foreign Authors	USD 50 per article

 

Note: There are no submission charges. APC is payable only after a manuscript has been formally accepted.

Fee waivers may be considered for authors from low-income countries — please contact the Editor to make a request.
